Baross City Hotel

I stayed at this hotel personally. The location is excellent — about three minutes from the main railway station, with plenty of cafés and fast-food places nearby. The hotel is in a building with a lift. It has several floors, but inside the hotel there’s no lift between the floors, which is very inconvenient if you have suitcases or children. The staff took a long time to complete the check-in paperwork. No one offered to help carry our luggage up to the second floor. The rooms were clean and small, but fine for an overnight stay — white towels, and we had hot water.

One unpleasant point: our booking included breakfast, and breakfast is served until 10:00. Our train arrived at 9:30 instead of 6:00, so we reached the hotel at 09:45, and they wouldn’t let us in for breakfast, saying the kitchen was already closed, even though we could see people eating and others still going in. We decided to go into the restaurant anyway, and managed to eat with the other guests until around 10:15. The breakfast selection was fairly standard: bread, rolls, sausages, yoghurt, eggs cooked in different ways, cereals, vegetables (tomatoes, cucumber), tea, coffee, milk, and water.
